Battle Of The Beadsmith 2023 Earrings

Battle Of The Beadsmith "Earrings" Entry 2023

I feel so honored to have been selected to compete in the Internationally renowned artists competition "Battle Of The Beadsmith-Earrings".

In my Japanese garden stands a pagoda. The pagoda symbolizes the path to heightened awareness and perception. It is the most auspicious symbol, Filled with wisdom, peace and harmony. This is my artistic interpretation of the pagoda as earrings in winter and
        summer.
After creating a 3D printed pagoda, I used bead embroidery techniques to create the earrings. The pagoda sits on top of the ear and is completely bead embroidered. The roof incorporates superduos, Miyuki seed beads, bugle beeds, and Austrian crystals. On the side of the pagoda, a tendril of cherry blossoms hang. The part of the earring that hangs from the earlobe has superduos, Austrian crystals, genuine vintage pearls, Miyuki seed beads, vintage drops, cup chain, and vintage Filigree.

          About the Artist

Collections are a reflection of the soul, and I have collected all my life  - from primitive antiques to vintage jewelry. So it would seem natural for me to  collect Swarovski crystals, gemstones, cabochons, and buttons. These collections  are what I draw on to create my bead embroidered jewelry and objects. I love the  look of vintage filigree and the lush sparkle of crystals. These are the  components that make my pieces unique.

I believe we all have creativity within us, we just need the right medium,  inspiration, and positive encouragement to find what we love to do. My every day mantra is  to be humble, love life, and sparkle like Swarovski AB2X!
